A Place In History
The Virginia Association of Surveyors was established in 1948 to promote the interests and professional development of surveyors licensed in the Commonwealth. We accomplish this goal by participating in a wide range of activities, from continuing education and scholarship funding to lobbying efforts in Richmond.
John H. Foster School
Dates are July 21 - July 24. This four day school features two separate courses of study an dreview for those preparing for the "Fundamentals of Surveying" and "Principals and Practice of Surveying" state administered exams. Download information. (pdf)

Right of Entry
In order to accrue a database of Right of Entry and Trespassing issues, the VAS would appreciate any practicing Virginia surveyor filling out an on-line reporting form documenting any incidents encountered.
