David Holland holds a degree in Surveying and Mapping from the Denver Institute of Technology and a degree in Journalism from the University of Memphis. He is a licensed surveyor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is a member of the J. Sargeant Reynolds School of Engineering advisory board and was an adjunct faculty member of the School of Engineering at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Richmond, VA. He is also a past president of the Virginia Association of Surveyors.
Mr. Holland has a diverse thirty-year background in all phases of surveying, including land stewardship policy and administration and has pushed for the incorporation of new technology in existing applications of land management. As the Surveyor for Henrico County, he was instrumental in the development of the Geographical Information Systems in Henrico County.
Mr. Holland is married to Shelby Holland and is a resident of Henrico County. He retired from Henrico County in November 2016 and is now enjoying the fruits of his labor!
